The Climate Action Coalition was delighted to welcome members of the UK Clean Power Taskforce for the first of our dinner roundtables, held in collaboration with x+why. Together with Taskforce co-chairs, Nigel Topping and Chris Skidmore, members explored how the report can further stimulate debate on the UK’s energy transition, drawing on perspectives from across business, policy, and civil society. The discussion underscored the urgent need for ambitious, practical solutions to accelerate progress toward a clean and secure power system.
Looking ahead, the Coalition is preparing to engage in a busy season of international and domestic climate dialogue. With upcoming participation at Climate Week NYC and the UK Party Conferences, we will continue to champion cross-sector collaboration in the build-up to COP30. These moments will also serve as stepping stones towards Climate Action’s Innovation Zone in Sao Paolo, Climate Action House in Belem and our own COP30Outcomes Forum in November 2025, where we aim to bring together global and UK stakeholders to drive forward actionable pathways for achieving a just and effective energy transition.
