The Climate Action Coalition is delighted to publish the findings of our Clean Power Taskforce. Chaired by The Rt Hon Chris Skidmore OBE, former UK Energy Minister, and Ambassador Patricia Espinosa, former Executive Secretary of the UN Framework Convention on Climate Change (UNFCCC), the Taskforce brings together global expertise and evidence-based insights at a critical moment for climate policy and public discourse.
At a time of increasing political volatility and widespread misinformation about climate and energy issues, this report aims to set the record straight by highlighting the tangible progress already being made in the global energy transition. It showcases positive, practical examples of how businesses, communities, and entire countries are embracing clean power solutions – driving innovation, creating jobs, and delivering real benefits for people and the planet.
By drawing on case studies from around the world, the report demonstrates that the shift to clean energy is not only achievable, but already well underway. It serves as a call to action for policymakers, investors, and citizens alike to build on this momentum and accelerate the move toward a more sustainable, secure, and equitable energy future.
