The Climate Action Coalition is a mission-driven initiative bringing together a global community of organisations committed to achieving our 2030 climate and nature goals. Fighting back against the loudening anti-climate narrative, it will focus on the pro-growth opportunities of the transition to a low-carbon economy. Through a series of taskforces, reports, online roundtables and in-person events, it will explore the practical steps required to accelerate delivery over the next five years, get investment flowing where it’s needed, and share success stories that can be replicated at speed and scale.
With the support of international climate leaders including Secretary John Kerry and Secretary Jennifer Morgan, the Climate Action Coalition was unveiled in the summer of 2024 at London Climate Action Week.
The world stands at a pivotal moment as we grapple with the formidable challenge of climate change whilst facing a loudening anti-climate narrative. Dramatic emissions reductions are needed by 2030 if we are to meet the goal of the Paris Agreement.
Now is the time to redouble our efforts, be bold with our ambitions, embrace new technologies and highlight the phenomenal growth opportunities of the transition. We need courageous leadership and collaboration – across sectors, industries and borders – to deliver the transition at the speed and scale needed.
Share knowledge, expertise, and best practice that can be transferred and replicated at speed and scale
Run focused taskforces to unblock sector-specific delivery challenges.
Facilitate collaboration across value chains to speed and scale implementation.
Bridge the gap between business and government to create a feedback loop, shaping the global policy agenda
Offer regular touchpoints across the year, joining the dots across key moments in the climate calendar
To achieve our goals, the Coalition’s Taskforces will meet regularly, gathering evidence and insights from their closed roundtable sessions, to produce and publish annual reports.
